As expected, the Government has taken another shot at lawful access legislation today, introducing a legislative package called the Investigative Powers for the 21st Century (IP21C) Act that would require mandated surveillance capabilities at Canadian ISPs, force ISPs to disclose subscriber information such as name and address, and grant the police broad new powers to obtain transmission data and force ISPs to preserve data. - Michael Geist

This is a serious privacy rights issue, write your MP and the Party leaders and let them know what you think.

i can see the letter from videotron already. (and it will be a letter in the mail because videotron doesn't use the internet)

dear customer, due to laws restricting your rights we must install new hardware that will allow us to record your trails online. for this we must once again raise your internet fees and punish you for using the internet. thank you for 'choosing' videotron.

this is just more fuel for us to get active against this war on privacy.
